Introduction to EMIT

Introducing the E.M.I.T. common rail Diesel injector tester!

The EMIT runs on compressed air up to 175 PSI and a 120 volt AC to 24 volt DC power adapter. Testing pressures up to 220 MPA or 33,000 PSI can be achieved. The EMIT enclosure is manufactured from 18 gauge steel, and finished with an industrial coating for durability and longevity. We have equipped the machine with an emergency shut down, which also serves to switch the power on. The EMIT features an intelligent microcontroller that bridges the gap between the machine and its software. The EMIT’s microcontroller relays current testing conditions to the software interface simply via a single USB connection.

Software

When purchasing the EMIT you have a choice between two base models; One with a computer and one without a computer. If you choose to purchase the model without a computer you must provide a Windows 7/10 or Ubuntu 16/18 computer to run the included software on (the monitor is recommended to be at least 1920×1080 resolution). If you purchase the model that includes a computer you will get a monitor, keyboard, and mouse with a compact computer which runs a custom version of Linux (Ubuntu 18.04 LTS) that is optimized for the EMIT software and makes updating it very easy.

The user interface is feature rich and intuitive, with all the controls laid out in an easy to understand arrangement. Pulse count, uSec, injector pulse width, cycle delay, and MPA setpoint can all be changed to your desired values. Test plans for hundreds of injectors can be installed into the software database making it a comprehensive injector diagnostic tool. The chart area logs the pressure on the screen, showing both current and historical pressure for a 10 second span. Injector output and return specification ranges are automatically scaled based upon the total pulse count and frequency defined by the user. A comprehensive test results system allows you to log and save test results to the computer for later viewing.

The EMIT can test Cummins, Duramax Mitsubishi, Navistar, Freightliner, Ford, Iveco, New Holland, VW, BMW, and Mercedes, as well as hundreds of other electromagnetic and piezo injectors.
